Guilderland - Marylou Hankle Forrest, 76, of Carman Rd. died Tuesday,December 31, 2013 at her home. Born in Albany, Marylou lived most of her life in Rensselaer and for the past two years in Guilderland. She was the daughter of the late Florence Harrington and Walter Hankle. Marylou worked as a nurse for many years at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany and also as a private duty nurse until her retirement. Marylou was the beloved wife of James M. Forrest; mother of John Slivko of Albany, Susan Tesch (William) of Altamont, James Slivko of Albany and Sandra Slivko of Knox; grandmother of William, Michael and Kevin Tesch; sister of Raymond Hankle (Erna) of Johnstown, Robert Hankle (Terry) of Nassau, Arthur Hankle of Ballston Spa and the late Walter Hankle. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and her stepdaughter, Tina M. Forrest of Delmar and her family. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville. Burial will be in the spring in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in New Salem. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., prior to the service. For those who who wish, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, 4 Pine West Plaza #405, Albany, NY 12205 would be appreciated.
