Voorheesville - Norma Armstrong Vilar, 77, died Sunday, December 29, 2013 at her residence. Born in Hague, NY, she was the daughter of the late Rebecca Ball and Richard Armstrong. Norma is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ricardo; her daughters, Carol Conley (Jim) and Joanne Vinciguerra (Steve); grandsons, Jim Conley, Ryan Conley, Christopher Laniewski and Jayden Vinciguerra; brothers, Carl Armstrong (Jean) and John Armstrong (Yolanta); and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Martin Armstrong and a sister, Verna Napoleoni. Norma enjoyed family vacations to Cape Cod each summer and winters in Ormond Beach, Florida walking on the beaches. She enjoyed making weekly meals for her family. She also enjoyed spending time with her best friend, Helen Cantlin and her Healthy Bones friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2014 at St. Matthew's Church, Mountainview St., Voorheesville. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Rotterdam. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. in the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tyler DeMarco Foundation, PO Box 4807, Schenectady, NY 12304-0807 or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Upstate New York Chapter,1650 South Avenue, Suite 100, Rochester, NY 14620
