Voorheesville -Evelyn M. Fuglein, 97, passed away peacefully at Kingsway Nursing Center on November 07, 2024. Born in West Berne, Evelyn was a lifelong family homemaker. She was an active member of the New Scotland Presbyterian Church, active in the United Presbyterian Women, New Scotland Senior Citizens, and the Elks Square Dancing Club. She also was an avid card player and bowler.

Evelyn met her husband of 66 years, Robert W. Fuglein while square dancing and they enjoyed square dancing their entire lives. Evelyn enjoyed going on ALL the New Scotland Senior bus trips. She was always ready to try anything at any time, never wanting to miss an adventure.

She was the proud mother of Robert E. Fuglein (Deborah) of Voorheesville, Ruth Von Haugg (Richard) of East Berne, Diane Bode (Frank) of Voorheesville and Patricia Joyce (Daniel) of Voorheesville. Evelyn was also a very proud grandmother of Courtney, Andrew, Michele, Meaghen, Bradley, David, Matthew, Jeffrey, Tara, Jonathan and Mitchell; and great-grandmother of fifteen. She was predeceased by her husband Robert and her brother Earl Irons . She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the New Scotland Presbyterian Church, 2010 New Scotland Rd., Slingerlands, NY 12159. Calling hours will be from 10 -11 a.m. Burial will follow in the New Scotland Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the New Scotland Presbyterian Church are appreciated.
