Anthony J. Ramundo Obituary

Colonie - Anthony J. Ramundo, 83 of Colonie NY, passed peacefully, Thursday, Sept. 26th, 2024 at his long time residence.


Anthony had been a member of the West Albany Italian Benevolent Society and was a parishioner of Christ Our Light Catholic Church.


Anthony worked at the Tobin Meat Packing Co. from 1958 - 1981. He then worked at the Freihofer Baking Co. where he retried in 2003.


Anthony enjoyed cooking, watching Gunsmoke and the New York Yankees win but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.


Anthony was the son of the late Vito and Marie Ramundo and is survived by his wife Dolores of 63 years. Anthony was father to Thomas (Dolores) Ramundo, Ronald Ramundo, Steven Ramundo and the late Anthony Ramundo. He was Grandfather to Angela, Jennifer, Amanda, Ronnie and Renee. Anthony was also Great Grandfather to Jacob and Vincent.


Anthony was also survived by his sister, Dolores Hill but had several brothers and sisters, Gerald, Lucy, Sandy and Danny who are all deceased. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.


A special mention for Patricia Fontanelli, who brought Anthony and Dolores together is also deserved.


Anthony "Bibsy" will be greatly missed but his life will never be forgotten.


Visitation will be at Reilly and Son Funeral Home, Colonie on Monday, Sept 30th from 4-8 p.m.


Funeral Services will be held at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Dr., Loudonville on Tuesday, Oct 1, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie.
