Obituary of Michael V. Italiano

Colonie - Michael Vincent Italiano, age 87, passed away on Saturday, April 13th, 2024.  Michael was born in New York City, NY on May 18th, 1936, to Rose and Vincent ‘Jimmy’ Italiano.  He grew up on New York City’s Lower East Side with his siblings, Lois and Richard.  He was very proud of his Italian American roots and enjoyed a large extended family life for most of his years.

Michael leaves behind his wife of 67 years, Corinne, and his children Debra and her partner Rachelle, Donna and her partner Eddie, Michael and his wife Jen, his granddaughter Amanda and her husband James, his grandson Christian, his sister Lois and her son Edward, and his adoring dog Pepper.

He will be remembered for his fierce loyalty to his family and friends, his terrific sense of humor, his storytelling, big heart, courage, and can-do spirit, along with his love of good food.  He would be the first to say that he lived a long and happy life with no regrets, for which he was very grateful.

He will be sorely missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Clayton Funeral Home, 25 Meadow Road, Kings Park, NY from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 20, 2024.  Interment will follow at 12:45 at Pinelawn Cemetery, 2030 Wellwood Ave., Farmingdale, NY.  In lieu of flowers, a donation in his name to St. Jude Children's Hospital,501 St. Jude Place • Memphis, TN 38105 would be greatly appreciated.
