Rose W. Walther Obituary

Crossville, TN - Rose Wronoski Walther completed life’s journey at home in Fairfield Glade Tennessee on Thursday, February 1, 2024, over 102 years since her birth on March 4, 1921. She is now reunited with her beloved husband Moe and other friends and family.


Rose was born in South Troy, New York to the late Catherine (Tkacz) and Anthony Wronoski. She graduated from Troy High School in 1939 and went on to work for the International Brotherhood of Papermakers in Albany. She met her husband Morris (Moe) Walther in 1946 and they married in 1947. In 1948 they moved to their home on Frederick Avenue in Colonie where she resided until moving to Tennessee in 2016. She was a loving mother and homemaker who also went on to work for the Town of Colonie Building Department and the Town Clerk’s Office.


Rose was predeceased by her parents, her husband who passed away in 2007, and her in-laws May (Moritz) and Otto Walther. She was also predeceased by her sister Helen (Anthony) Helinski; her brothers John (‘Kate’), and Stanley (Olga); her niece Mary Ann Wronoski Bulgaro; nephews Richard Helinski, Thomas Wronoski, John (Butchy) Wronoski and William Wronoski.


She is survived by her beloved daughter Jean and son-in-law Neil Donovan, her grandchildren Amy (Rocco) Musolino and Stephen (Amy) Donovan, and the greatest joys in her life, her great grandchildren Ava Musolino, Payton Donovan, Tanner Donovan and Paige Musolino. She is also survived by her nieces Margaret (Bob) Tague, Kathy (Joe) Pezzulla; nephew Michael (Regina) Helinski and cousin, Helen (Bob) Gavigan.


A committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, New York. Contributions in Rose’s name can be made to the Hudson-Mohawk Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menards, NY 12204.
