Colonie – Richard E. Mudgett, 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 4, 2023, with his loving family by his side. He was a graduate of Vincentian Institute in Albany and the Manhattan School of Printing. Richard enjoyed a long career as a lithographer including owning his own printing company, the M & R Inkwell Corp. in Altamont, New York. As a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, he proudly served on active duty from 1954 through 1956 and in the reserves until 1961.

Richard was the husband of Patricia Sue La Bounty Mudgett for 64 years, father of Sean Curtis Mudgett (Denise Latimer), Diana Urbaska (James), Susan Harvey (Eric) and Mary Beth Mudgett (Marco Giguere); and brother of the late Robert Curtis Mudgett. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Private funeral services will be conducted at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Albany County Community Hospice.
