Please share a memory of Ann to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Ann Christine (Woodward) Gepfert- 85 years old

Ann passed in Pt. St. Lucie, FL on October 12, 2023 after an extended illness.  She was born on March 12, 1938 to Kenneth and Dorothy (Shultz) Woodward of Clarksville NY. She married Lawrence Gepfert   Sr. and following a brief stint in San Diego, she spent most of her life in Clarksville. After retirement Ann resided in Hadley, NY and Pt. St. Lucie, Florida.  She was very proud of her extended career with Niagara Mohawk, advancing into computer programing and commercial billing at the Power Pool.  She was a member of the Onesquethaw Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.  Ann loved to bake and none of her friends or relatives had a sweet tooth untouched.  She selflessly gave to her family and friends providing rides, shopping, visits and meals.  Ann was not afraid to go out of her element and snowmobile, butcher an elk, help build a cabin in the Adirondacks or the mountains of Colorado.  A gatherer of many friends wherever she went, witty and boundless in energy, she touched everyone.

Ann is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years Larry Gepfert Sr., her son Larry Gepfert Jr., his wife Lauryn (Maloney) Gepfert, grandchildren (Lawrence) Bradlee Gepfert and Emma-Leigh Feiler, former sister in-law Marylou Woodward and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Dorothy Woodward and brother’s Robert and Jimmy Woodward.

A graveside ceremony in Clarksville will be held in the spring. You can honor her by following her tradition of calling or visiting an elderly person.  Donations can be made in her name to the Onesquethaw Volunteer Fire Department.
