Niskayuna – Marie G. (Santos) Coelho, 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 15, 2023 on her own terms – independent and at home. Finally joining her beloved husband Joseph D. Coelho, Jr, after calling to him for almost 20 years. Marie grew up in Providence, R.I. with her parents Charles R. and Laura (Mello) Santos and siblings, twin sister Gloria M. Selaimen, brothers Charles R. Santos, Jr, George R. Santos and Joseph R. Santos. Marie is survived by her children, Donna Marie (Dennis) Purtell, Joseph D. (Nancy) Coelho, III, Stephen A. Coelho, Jennifer (Daniel) Murphy; grandchildren, Joseph D. (Kacie) Coelho, IV, Kelsea Coelho (Jonathan) Bratsveen, Devin and Garrett Murphy; great grandchildren, Alexander, Aurora and Arya Coelho, Cecilia and Josiah Bratsveen, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, Union Street, Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, 1200 Central Ave, Colonie, N.Y.
