Obituary of Jaclyn M. Morrissey

Please share a memory of Jaclyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jackie was a beautiful, bright 34 year old woman who had a heart of gold and was taken from this earth way too soon, leaving behind many grieving family members and friends. Jackie left behind her mother, Frances Morrissey, Father, Daniel Morrissey, Sister, Christine Sawyer, Brother, Danny Morrissey, Sister-in-law, Trish Morrissey, Niece, Amanda Sawyer, nephews Aidan & Tyler Morrissey and great nephews Michael Sawyer(Fosmire) and Giovanni Felix. As we struggle for answers and wonder why god took Jackie from us at such a young age, we think back on her life and the fond memories we have of her. She was full of enthusiasm, with a bubbly personality and a zest for life and fun that was contagious to people around her. Her sense of humor and playful ways brought smiles to our faces all the time. Jackie had a soft and nurturing side, she took care of her mother, Fran and tended to her needs, often buying her flowers or leaving her notes for no reason, taking her to doctors appointments and making sure all her needs were met and that she was loved and appreciated. She was always willing to help any of us that needed her, without a second thought. She never forgot to say "I love you" to everyone she cared about after every departure or phone conversation, and if there was a disagreement, she would be the first to forgive and forget any angry words that were spoken. She loved animals, especially her beloved dog Zoey, who she rescued from the animal shelter, and children, often donating to the St Jude's Foundation, and playing with her nephews and great nephews every chance she got. She loved her friends like they were family, loved to have a great time, loved the outdoors and camping, one of her favorites spots being lookout point in Middleburg, NY, near her best friend, Danielle's house, where she spent a great deal of time over the years. Her wishes were that her ashes will be spread over the lookout. All of us have our own special memories of Jackie that we will carry with us forever and thinking of them over the coming weeks, months and years, will slowly ease the pain of her passing and our sadness will eventually be washed away by smiles, the way Jackie would want us to remember her, instead of us being filled with sorrow. We know in our hearts that she is at peace and has found the long and winding road "home", and until our existence on this earth ends, until our bodies become ashes and our souls are set free, until the kingdom come "where all the colors will bleed into one", until the veil disappears between this world and the next and we cross over into the spiritual realm of heaven, where beauty and truth and peace prevail…until then, we will wait until our time to be reunited and hold you close in our hearts and souls. See you on the other side, Jackie!
