Obituary of Robert H. Gottfredsen

Colonie - Robert Harold Gottfredsen, 78 of Colonie, NY. died Sunday November 27, 2022 at St Peter's Hospital. He had lived in Ridgefield Park NJ prior to moving to Colonie in 2008 upon his retirement from the restaurant business. Robert held a part time position during his retirement as a driver for the Beltrone Living Center in Albany. He enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles and spending time with friends and family.

 Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife Kathleen; is father of Kimberly (and Dean) Iarkowski of Vernon, N.J., Karen (and Al) Spadavecchia of Washington Township, N.J. and Robert E. (and Heather) Gottfredsen of West Palm Beach, Fla.; brother of Dorothy Turi and Carol Farrar (predeceased); grandfather of David and Kristen Iarkowski, A.J. and Mia Spadavecchia, Samuel and Gabriel Gottfredsen; and best friend and companion of Eiko Bogue.

A prayer service for Robert will be held at 10:00 o'clock Friday morning December 2nd at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie followed by burial in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday December 1st, from 4 - 7 p.m. in the funeral home with a prayer service being held at 6:00 p.m. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis TN 38015 or StJude.org would be appreciated.
