Obituary of Mary Lawrence

Voorheesville - Mary Keefe Lawrence, 92, of Koonz Rd. died Thursday, September 13, 2013 at her home. Born in Albany, Mary had lived for the past 60 years in the home that she and her late husband, Robert had built with their own hands. She worked for several years at the Sterling Drug Company in Rensselaer but her focus was alway her family. She enjoyed her organic garden and always canned enough to provide her family with food from their own garden through the winter. She was a faithful communicant of Christ the King Church in Guilderland. Mary is survived by her daughters, Roberta Lawrence of Albany and Judith Nemier (Jack) of Voorheesville; her grandchildren, Max Nemier of Albany and Anna Nemier of Voorheesville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Robert, Mary was predeceased by her siblings, Cecilia Myers, catherine Sterling, Rose DeSanta and Andrew Keefe. Funeral 9:00 o'clock Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville and at 10:00 o'clock at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumpter Ave., Guilderland. Burial will be in Memory's Garden Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 - 7:30 in the funeral home. The parish family of Christ the King Church will gather at the funeral home at 4:30 p.m. for a service of prayer and remembrance. All are welcome.
