Obituary of James M. Forrest

Guilderland - James M. Forrest, 82, died Friday, January 28, 2022 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany.  James was born in Albany and was the son of the late Martha McCarty and Alan Forrest.  He lived in Albany for most of his life before moving to Guilderland 12 years ago.  James spent his career as a cook and retired from Sam’s Club in Latham.  He was a member of the Guilderland Senior Citizens.

In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by his wife, Marylou Forrest and his siblings.  Survivors include his children, Tina Flinton (Keith) of Ballston Lake, John Slivko of Albany, Susan Tesch (William) of Altamont, James Slivko of Albany and Sandra Slivko of Berne; grandchildren, William, Michael, Kevin, Nicole, Paula and Jason; and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2022 at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville.  Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 - 2 p.m., prior to the service.
