Albany - Rodger L. Sample, 81, of Albany died Thursday, September 5, 2013 at his home. Born in Cobleskill, Rodger was the son of the late Lulu Schaffer and Stanley Sample. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from the United States Postal Service in Albany. Rodger was the brother of Marvin Sample, Gerald Sample, James Sample, Shirley Albright, Florence Potts and the late Robert Sample, Virginia Sample and Stanley Sample, Jr. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members. Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2103 at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Colonie.
