Obituary of Mildred H. Vigars

Colonie – Mildred H. Vigars, 85, died Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. Born in Albany, Mildred was the daughter of the late Harriett Hammann and Floyd Fronk. She had lived in Colonie for the past 56 years. Mildred was employed as a salesperson at Linens & Things and Fanny Farmer but she also found great joy in being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She also enjoyed bowling, bingo, travel and walking. Mildred was the wife of Edward Vigars; sister of Lionel Fronk of Arizona and the late Laurence Fronk and Sandra Hartman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie followed by interment at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may also call at the funeral home Monday from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, it was Mildred’s request that those who wish make a donation to their favorite charity.
