Obituary of Robert A. Maurel

Colonie - Robert A. Maurel, 47, of North Elmhurst Ave. died Sunday, April 14, 2013 at his home. Born in Albany, Robert was a 1983 graduate of Colonie Central High School and had attended Cobleskill State University. He had worked at the Holiday Inn Turf and various other area hotels, most recently at Homewood Suites in Colonie. Robert was the son of Frances Lazicki Maurel of Colonie and the late Jean Victor Maurel; brother of Nancy Smith and the late Linda Murray and Jean Maurel; and uncle of five nieces and nephews. He was also survived by the love of his life, Linda Patch. Robert's family would like to extend a special thank you to Lew for his dedicated care and Karl, Jerome and all the staff and aides from All Metro Health Care. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 4 - 7 p.m. A prayer service and time for sharing memories will conclude the evening at 7:00 o'clock.
