Obituary of Randy Lee Edwards

Randy Lee Edwards of Voorheesville (September 18, 1967 - October 6, 2018), beloved husband and best friend for more than 32 years of Aimee Burlew Edwards, adoring father of Keith (Jennifer) and Kenzie, delighted grandfather of Jeremiah, and loyal, loving brother of Donald (Mickey) Edwards of Tucson, AZ; William (Shari) Edwards of Voorheesville; and Suzanne (Paul) Trudell of Gansevoort. Randy was predeceased by his parents, James and Louise Edwards; and brother, James.

Randy was a Foreman at Northern Stud Welding and a member of the Ironworkers Union Local 440 for the past 19 years. He worked on the bridges that span the great State of New York.

Beyond his family, Randy's passions included hunting, boating, fishing, and golf. He took great pride in maintaining a world-class vegetable garden and enjoyed canning the fruits of his labor with the help of his bride.

Randy's lifetime friendships were too many to count. Those who were fortunate enough to call him a friend, can trust they were his. He was a compassionate and loving man -- always ready to lend a hand or push you out of the way so he could get the job done right. Randy did it all.

Calling hours will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Friday, October 12, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., and a funeral service and celebration of Randy's life will be held on Saturday, October 13, at 11:00 a.m., also at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 85 Elm Avenue, Delmar, NY. Burial services will be private.
