Obituary of Anthony Consolo

Colonie - Anthony Consolo, 66, of Latham died Tuesday, June 26, 2018.  Born in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Rita Petschauer and Anthony Consolo.  He was a graduate of Rhinebeck Central High School and Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie and was active in DeMolay International in his younger years.  Anthony worked for many years in retail, beginning at Woolworth’s and most recently at Walmart in Albany.  Anthony loved animals, especially his dog, Casey, collectibles, New York City and Jones Beach, reading, family vacations and making people laugh.

Survivors include his siblings, Rebecca Freedman, Mary Ann Shields, Joseph Consolo, and Thomas Consolo; nieces, Erin Freer, Haley Shields and Ashley McClosky; and nephews, Michael Freer, Joey Shields and Joseph Consolo.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Anthony’s family on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon a the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville.  For those who wish, memorial contributions to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 would be appreciated.
