Obituary of Kathleen A. Quinn
The family of Kathleen “Kathy” Mason Quinn who passed away suddenly, announce her rebirth into eternity at sunrise the 7th of June, 2018. Kathleen was born to Ann and Jim Mason on the 9th of August 1944 in Troy, New York. Kathleen’s smile and kindness will be remembered by all those who were fortunate enough to know her. Kathleen lived in Guilderland, New York.
Kathleen was a loving mother to Shannon Quinn and Colleen (Keith) Ryan, proud grandmother to Kate and Lucas Ryan, sister to Keith(Peggy) Mason and former wife to Rodney Quinn. She was more than a sister in law, for 59 years she was a loving sister to Rodney’s siblings, Gregg, Donna, Bradley, Darlene, Dianne, Tammy, Bernard, Deanna, and Dreslyn. Kathleen was an ever-present Aunt to her nieces and nephews: Summer, Darcy, Jennifer, Nicole, Christopher, Michelle, Robby, Cory, Bernard, Jacquelyn, Emily, Brent (Kathy) and Bradley (Keith’s sons).
As a registered nurse and someone who cared deeply about health, Kathleen’s 37 years working in the health care field touched the lives of everyone around her, both fellow workers, clients and patients. She was always the consummate professional, adding smiles and laughter to each and every day.
Kathleen embraced life and all it offered living each day true to her values. She was a very active woman and her interests were many; she loved to travel, experience cultural outings with friends, visiting family and friends, staying in shape at the gym, attending St. Matthews Church with her grandchildren, taking care of animals, but most of all she loved her grandma duties and telling stories about her beautiful grandkids.
The celebration for Kathleen’s life is scheduled for the 12th of June at 10:00 am at St Matthews Church, 25 Mountainview Street, Voorheesville, NY 12186.
