Obituary of David C. DiSisto

Colonie - David C. DiSisto, 69, died Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the Community Hospice of Albany Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital.  Born in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Augustus and Mary Virginia Marsette DiSisto.  David was employed for 33 years at the NYS Department of Labor, retiring as a Payroll Supervisor.  He enjoyed music, radio, television and computers and also worked as a disc jockey at WHRL when he was young.  For a number of years, he owned Dave’s DJ Service.   He was very sociable and loved spending time with family and friends.  He was a member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Colonie and was a former Lay reader and member of the Vestry.

    David was the husband of Kathy Krapf DiSisto; father of Eric DiSisto of Schenectady and Chad DiSisto of Westerlo; grandfather of Rubyanne Elizabeth DiSisto of Watervliet and Ashley Soto of Virginia; great-grandfather of Gene Foertsch; brother of Darlene Koniowka of Cohoes, Thomas DiSisto (Mary) of Menands, Pamela McGrath (Jack) of Cohoes, Anthony DiSisto of Cohoes and the late Nicholas DiSisto; and son-in-law of Ruth Krapf of Guilderland.

    Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 49 Killean Park, Colonie, NY  12205.  Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park in Colonie.  Calling hours will be Monday from 4 - 7 p.m. in  the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie.  For those who wish, memorial contributions to St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, NYOH Patient Assistance Foundation, 3 Crossing Blvd., Clifton Park, NY  12065  or the Community Hospice of Albany Inn, 315 So.
