Obituary of Dorothy W. Deucker

Colonie - Dorothy W. Deucker, 69, of Highland Ave. died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's after a courageous battle with a longterm illness. Born in Albany, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Harriet Squires and Eugene Archambault and stepdaughter of the late Georgia Archambault. She worked for several years for the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles in Albany and more recently was a very active member of the Lisha Kill Senior Citizen's Club and the Thunder Road Seniors. Dorothy was the wife of the late Joseph K. Deucker, Sr.; mother of Kimberly Moon (Stephen) of Latham, JoAnne Sheldon of Schenectady, Joseph K. Deucker, Jr. (Kimberly) of Albany and Brian Deucker (Kim) of Troy; grandmother of Spencer Moon, Brittany Sheldon, Chelsea Sheldon, McKenzie Sheldon, Ian Deucker and Jack Deucker; great-grandmother of Sanniyah Williams; sister of Melinda Dimmer, Gene Archambault (Barbara) and the late Nelson Archambault and Betty Kessler. She is also survived by several cherished nieces and nephews. Funeral 8:00 a.m. Wednesday , March 13, 2013 from the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie and at 9:00 o'clock at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2777 Albany St., Schenectady. Burial will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie.
