Voorheesville - Althea DeLorenzo, 101, formerly of Voorheesville passed away on March 6, 2017 at her son’s home in Middle Grove, NY. She is predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Mabel Dorr. Her husband, Anthony T. DeLorenzo passed away in 2007. Althea grew up in Richmond, MA and graduated from Mildred Elly Business School. She worked for Ralph Plauth Farms in Altamont as a Bookkeeper.
Althea is survived by her devoted sons, Thomas (Patti) of Voorheesville and Robert (Nancy) of Middle Grove; her grandchildren, Mike (Leslie) and Mark (Staci) of Voorheesville, Matt (Jessica) of Cropseyville, Maria Crounse of Esperence, Lara (Curtis) Sims of New Jersey, Katie (Rob) Duell, DeDe (Kevin) Korto and Trey Zyskowski; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours and private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made in Althea’s memory to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands,, NY 12204 or the Ronald McDonald House, 139 S Lake Ave, Albany, NY 12208.
