Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Parvis

Colonie - Elizabeth “Betty” Colleran Parvis, 76, of Kenlyn Dr. died Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Born in Albany, Betty had resided on Kenlyn Dr. since 1964. She was employed as a loan officer at the School Systems Federal Credit Union, Assistant Facilities Manager at Traveler’s in Colonie and as a Monitor at the South Colonie High School before her retirement. Betty was a communicant of Christ Our Light Church in Colonie and also enjoyed volunteering at the Regional Food Bank and the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society. She was the wife of Reed Parvis; mother of Patrick Reed Parvis (Robin) of Colonie, James Joseph Parvis (Susan) of Slingerlands, Deborah Meehan of Schuylerville and the late Christopher J. Parvis; grandmother of Matthew, Elliot and Sawyer Parvis and Ryan and Kelly Meehan; and sister of Dorothy Hahn of Colonie. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie. Burial will be in Memory’s Garden Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 - 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
