Mary Jane Reh, age 72, resident of Hudson Park Nursing Home went to meet her Lord on November, 27th, 2016. Born on January 9th, 1944 in LaPorte, Indiana to Winfield Lodge and Jane Margaret (Bailey) Redding. The Redding family later relocated to Pittsburgh, where Mary Jane grew up, graduating from Mount Lebanon High School in 1961. She was educated at the South Side Hospital School of Nursing, Pittsburgh, PA, graduating with a diploma in Nursing. She proudly served her country as a Flight Nurse in the Air National Guard (including flights to/from Vietnam) after receiving training at the School of Aerospace Medicine, Kelly AFB, Texas. Her overall nursing career spanned over three decades with multiple roles and locations. An active boater, Mary Jane was a highly-skilled boat operator as well as a fine waterskier, and was an active member of the Crescent Boat Club in Halfmoon, NY, including serving on the board. Mary Jane spent the majority of her life in Voorheesville, NY. She was an active member of St Matthew’s parish as a lector and eucharistic minister. She was a dedicated mother, actively present in all of her children's activities. She was a proud child of Pittsburgh, a lover of Pittsburgh cuisine (Klondike Bars and chipped ham), and lifetime fan of the Steelers. She was well-known for her pizza, chocolate-chip cookies and apple pies. Mary Jane was proud of her Irish heritage and had the opportunity to travel to Ireland. Predeceased by her parents, her brother Scott Redding and her son Michael Scott Reh. She is survived by her brother, Cary Redding, her children, Stephanie (Garde) and Matthew Reh, and her former husband and father of her children, Daniel Reh. A gathering of remembrance will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, 9 Voorheesville Ave, Voorheesville, NY, 12186.
