North Port, FL - Robert “Bobby” VanDerVeer, 48, of North Port passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016. He was born June 9, 1967 in Niskayuna and moved to North Port 17 years ago from Voorheesville. Bobby was in the real estate business. He coached Pop Warner and North Port Soccer, Football and Baseball teams. Bobby graduated from Siena College with a B.A. degree and was of the catholic faith.
Survivors include his fiancé, Mishelle Lynn Smith of North Port, FL; mother, Donna Jean Tork of Port Charlotte, FL; father, Gerald R. VanDerVeer; sons, Christian R. and Brandon R. VanDerVeer of North Port; sister, Dani VanDerVeer-Keller of Voorheesville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. and then proceed to the South Berne Cemetery where graveside services will take place.
