Colonie - Dorothyea Bohen Coyne, 89, a lifelong Colonie resident, died peacefully at home on Monday, April 11, 2016. Born in Albany, Dorothyea was the daughter of the late Fred and Ethel Phillips Bohen. She was employed in the office at A & P in Colonie for 21 years and then as a buyer for the NYS Research Foundation in Albany before retiring 27 years ago.
Dorothyea was the wife of James W. Coyne; mother of Fred Hunter of Hannacroix and Diane Hunter of Fountain Valley, CA; grandmother of Vincent Hunter (Chris); great-grandmother of Alex Hunter; stepmother of Col. James M. Coyne of Saratoga Springs and Brian Coyne of Sayville, NY; sister of Frederick R. Bohen of San Antonio, TX and the late Robert, Barry and Howard Bohen. She is also survived by many other extended family members.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2016 at Memory’s Garden Cemetery, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd., Colonie. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the Community Hospice of Albany, 310 So. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208 would be appreciated.
