Obituary of George B. Nellis

Schenectady - George B. Nellis, 86, of William St. died Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Kingsway Manor Assisted Living Center. George was born in Schenevus and had lived in Schenectady for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1952 to 1954. He worked for many years as the Produce Manager for the former Loblaws Market and P & C Market. George loved his late dog, Iggy and enjoyed hunting, fishing, coin collecting, traveling with his dear friend, Marie Garner. George was the husband of the late June Nellis; father of the late Kevin and Richard Nellis; brother of James Nellis of Middleburgh and the late Shirley Humphrey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, 1200 Central Ave., Colonie. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Schenectady. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 - 5 p.m. in the funeral home.
