Obituary of Perry R. Shillinglaw

VOORHEESVILLE - Perry R. Shillinglaw, age 71, died Monday, April 6, 2015, at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Robert and Ruth Bates Shillinglaw. He was a graduate of Columbia High School and attended Alfred University. He was employed as a civil engineer for 37 years with the New York State Department of Transportation, retiring in 1999. He had lived in Voorheesville since 1978. Mr. Shillinglaw enjoyed golf, fishing and photography, and was an avid reader. Survivors include his wife, Grace DiPace Shillinglaw; his son, Christopher P. Shillinglaw (Janna) and his daughter, Heather Shillinglaw Johnson (Matthew); his stepchildren, Kim, Ralph, John and Kevin Bellanger; and several grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
