Guilderland - Florence S. Hallenbeck, 92, died at the Our Lady of Mercy Life Center on Thursday, january 10, 2013. Born in New Scotland, Florence was a longtime resident of the village of Voorheesville. She was a homemaker and a member of the Voorheesville First United Methodist Church. Florence was the wife of the late John Hallenbeck; mother of Carol Jenks of Binghampton, Janet Wilcox (David) of Binghampton, James Hallenbeck (Ann) of Voorheesville, Joyce Ann Hallenbeck of Columbia, SC and John Hallenbeck (Mary) of Bradenton, FL. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Voorheesville First United Methodist at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2013. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the Voorheesville First United Methodist Church, 68 Maple Ave., Voorheesville, NY 12186 or the Voorheesville Area Ambulance, PO Box 238, Voorheesville, NY 12186 would be appreciated.
