Colonie - Elmon F. Parker, 99, of Gadsen Ct. died Sunday, May 6, 2012 at his home. Born in Albany, he had lived for most of his life in Colonie. For 35 years he worked as a truck driver, retiring from Weis Markets in Colonie in 1977. Elmon was the husband of the late Pearl Wilber Parker; father of Sandra Brown, Audrey Snyder, Ricky Parker (Lisa) and the late Bonnie Delp and Edward Parker; brother of Alfred Parker (Shirley), Rita Froeschle and the late Joseph Parker. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at11:00 o'clock Thursday morning at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Colonie. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 would be appreciated.
