Obituary of Kathleen L. Miller

New Scotland - Kathleen "Kate" Hitchman Miller, 85, of Clipp Rd. died Monday, February 20, 2012 at her home. Kathleen was born in Carlisle, NY and had lived in New Scotland for many years. She worked for several years as a mail carrier for the United States Post Office in Delmar. Also, she partnered with her husband Albert in co-founding Superior Housing in Cobleskill in the late 1980's. She was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed travelling but especially loved being at home with her family gathered around her. She was the wife of the late Albert Miller; mother of Albert Miller (Judee) of New Scotland, Deborah Fuglein (Robert) of Altamont and Karen Dolen (Eric) of Howes Cave; sister of Norma Jean Ordon (Stanley), William Shafer (Janice) and James Shafer (Janice); grandmother of Albert Miller, III, Randall Miller (Rebecca), David Miller, Matthew Fuglein, Jonathan Fuglein, Kathleen Dolen, Eric Dolen and Robert Dolen; and great-grandmother of Cayce Mae Miller. Kate's funeral service will be held at 11:00 o'clock Friday morning at the New Scotland Presbyterian Church, 2010 New Scotland Rd., Slingerlands, NY 12159. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. in the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville.
