Florence L. McKie, 85, passed away on December 27, 2011 at her residence in Delanson. Her cherished dog, Kayla and daughter were at her side. Born on April 9, 1926 in New Scotland, NY, she was the daughter of James and Jeannette Secor. Florence was a certified registered nurse anesthetist and retired from St. Peter's Hospital of Albany in 1988. Florence loved to travel, read and spend time with her family and friends.
Florence was predeceased by her dear daughter, Pamela Ann McKie; and her sisters, Irma Hoose and Thelma Cummins. She is survived by her daughter, Denise and her husband Frank Spor; her grandsons, Francis and Nicholas Spor; her great-granddaughter Lucy Gail; her sister Helen Tognetti; her brother Bruce Secor; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be conducted at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12308 (state specifically for Schenectady).
