New Scotland - Michael F. Cootware, 59, of Delaware Turnpike, Clarksville died Friday, November 11, 2011 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. Born in Albany, Mike had lived in Clarksville since 1986. He was employed for 24 years with Conrail in Selkirk, retiring in 1993. Mike was always helping his neighbors and enjoyed NASCAR, local dirt track racing and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Carol Dottino Cootware; his children, Shawn (Barbara) Cootware of Carlisle and Ashley Cootware of Clarksville; his parents, Clayton and Marjorie Felter Cootware of Feura Bush; a brother, David (Cheryl) Cootware of Feura Bush; a sister, Kimberly (William) Walton of Feura Bush; a grandson, Samuel Cootware; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Mike's family from 4 - 7 p.m. Thursday at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville. A service of prayers and remembrance will be held at 7:00 p.m. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 or the Diabetes Association, 2 Pine West Plaza, Albany, NY 12205 would be appreciated.
