Guilderland - Joyce VanDerVolgen Maynard, 75, formerly of Colonie died Sunday, October 30, 2011 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Born in Albany, Joyce was the daughter of the late Howard and Bernice Beardsley VanDerVolgen. She was the beloved mother of Kathleen Zwack of Altamont, Linda McGrath (Andy) of Springfield, MA, Albert Maynard (Gayle) of Guilderland, Edward Maynard (Lisa) of Scotia, Francis Maynard (Cheryl) of Rotterdam and James Maynard (Sue) Guilderland; sister of Elizabeth Fitzgerald of Colonie and Carol Ridolfo of Colonie; niece of Rudy Beardsley of Toms River, NJ and Leona Tripp of Colonie. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011 at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 49 Killean Park, Colonie, NY 12205. Calling hours will be Thursday afternoon from 3 - 5 p.m. at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie. For those who wish, memorial contributions to St. Michael's Episcopal Church would be appreciated.
