Obituary of Agnes L. Morris

Colonie - Agnes Christopher Morris of Spruce St. died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the Community Hospice of Albany in Albany Memorial Hospital. Born in Shushan, NY, she was a 1936 graduate of Cambridge Central High School and had lived in Colonie since 1955. She worked in the bakery at A & P in Colonie and for the Freihofer Baking Company before devoting 12 years to the New York State Department of Tax and Finance. She retired in 1983. After retirement, her favorite pastimes were doll collecting and her flower garden. Her love and devotion to family and friends was unconditional. Agnes was the wife of the late Lemuel O. Morris; mother of Martin L. Morris (Patricia), Robert W. Morris (Pat Brundage) and the late Sheila Morris Akullian; grandmother of Michelle Akullian, Michael Akullian, Mark Akullian, Marnie Murray, Christopher Morris, Lisa Beunau and Michael Morris; great-grandmother of Tyler, Seanna, Marissa, Thomas, Mitchell, Christopher, Brendan, Isabel, Max, Austin and Jack; and sister of the late Charlotte Saunders. Funeral 9:00 o'clock Saturday morning from the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie and at 10:00 o'clock at Christ Our Light Church, 1 Maria Dr., Loudonville. Burial will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 - 7 p.m. in the funeral home. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the Mohawk-Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 would be appreciated.
