COLONIE - Mary Akins DeMura, 91, formerly of Broderick St. died Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at the Resurrection Nursing Home in Castleton On Hudson. Born in Albany, Mary had lived for most of her life in Colonie before moving to the nursing home in 2004. She was the wife of the late Thomas G. DeMura, Sr. and was also predeceased by her son, Thomas G. DeMura, Jr. and her siblings, Robert Schraa and Mildred Garrity. Mary is survived by her daughter, Donna Carignan (and her husband Wayne) of Ballston Spa; her grandsons, Wayne Carignan ( and his wife Aurora) and Brian Carignan; and great-grandson, Titus Carignan. Funeral 10:00 o'clock Friday morning from the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie and at 11:00 o'clock at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Eagle St. and Madison Ave., Albany. Burial will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie. A calling hour will precede the funeral services Friday morning from 9 - 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
