VOORHEESVILLE - John A. Mohan, 87, of Cliffview Lane, Voorheesville died at home suddenly after a short illness on Monday, August 15, 2011. The son of the late Daniel and Carolyn Mohan, he was born in Albany and attended Vincentian Institute before joining the U.S. Army in 1943 to serve in London, England during WWII. He was the Operations Manager for Stuyvesant Plaza Inc for 30 years. Following his retirement he worked at Home Depot for 17 years. He was predeceased by his brother William and son Tim (Anna). He is survived by his wife of 64 years Veralyn (Pat) Mohan, and their children Robert J. Mohan (Marie) of Sand Lake and, Karen M. Liddle (Andy) of Oneonta, 4 grandchildren, Shelley Murray (Mike) of Poestenkill, Kelly Bourgault (Kurt) of Poestenkill, Sarah Ferguson of Ft Benning Georgia and Tim Mohan of Voorheesville, 5 great grand children and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister Anne Dollard of Albany Services will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in John's memory to Hospice or the Leukemia Society. Interment in the Saratoga National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
