Voorheesville - Michael Francis "Frank" Ryan, 63, died Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Community Hospice of Albany Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Born in County Clare, Ireland, Frank moved to New York City at the age of 17. He lived in Ridgefield Park, NJ before moving to Voorheesville in 2008. Frank's career has been with NYC telephone companies retiring from Lucent Technologies in 2000. While in Ridgefield Park, he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved to read and learn, applying that knowledge to good use always helping his family and friends. Frank, son of Thomas and Susan (Davis) was the husband of Christine Hall Ryan; father of Susan Ryan of Detroit, Dominick Ryan (Judith) of Brooklyn and Marie Ryan (Christopher Walls) of Manchester, England; grandfather of Thomas, Joseph, Stella and Ryan; and brother of Patrick Ryan (Mary), Thomas Ryan (Breda), Marie Ryan and William Ryan (Catherine) with many nieces and nephews all of County Clare, Ireland. Funeral 11:00 o'clock Wednesday morning from the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie and at 12:00 noon at Christ the King Church, Sumpter Ave., Guilderland. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. in the funeral home. The parish family of Christ the King will gather at 4:30 pm for a service of prayer and remembrance. All are welcome.
