Guilderland - Gay Kissel Kirchhof, 74, of West Old State Rd. died Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Community Hospice of Albany at Albany Memorial Hospital. Born in Albany, Gay had lived in Guilderland for the past 44 years. She was a 1954 graduate of the Roessleville High School in Colonie and then attended the Albany Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1958. She worked for many years as a Nurse in the Albany Memorial Hospital Operating Room. Gay enjoyed golf, bowling and swimming. Survivors include her husband, Walter H. Kirchhof; children, Wayne Kirchhof (Susan) of Woodbine, MD, Darrin Kirchhof (Joanne) of Guilderland and Susan White (Michael) of Westminster, MD; grandchildren, Alex, Erica and Ryan Kirchhof and Griffin White; a brother and a sister. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
