Obituary of Wiliam Wood

Voorheesville - William "Bill" Wood, 55, of Voorheesville Ave. died Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born May 30, 1959, Bill was the son of Orville Wood of Voorheesville and the late Ingrid Patschureck Wood. He was employed at the New York State Department of Finance and celebrated his 20th year of service last year. Bill was a man of strong faith, and he had a great sense of humor. His greatest joy was his family. He shared his love for them through cooking. He also enjoyed photography and reading. Bill was the father of Justine, Adam and Emily Wood, all of Albany; and brother of Bonnie Buddenhagen (Dave) of Glenville, Donna Susi (Frank) of Saratoga Springs and the late Jack Wood. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Colonie. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. in the funeral home. In consideration of Bill having suffered strokes last year, those who wish may make a donation to any stroke research foundation or the charity of their choice.
