Colonie - John E. Simonian, 79, of Wilshire Dr. died Monday, December 29, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Born and raised in Troy, John was the son of the late Carnick and Alice Huth Simonian. He was a graduate of Siena College, served in the United States Marines and worked for many years as a Salesperson for School Specialty. John's most enjoyable times were spent with his family and he was active in the Roessleville Presbyterian Church in Colonie. John was the husband of Sharon Carey Simonian; father of Rebecca Simonian of Colonie, John J. Simonian of Orleans, MA, Mark E. Simonian of Colonie, Melissa Simonian of Colonie and Michelle Simonian of Colonie; brother of Richard Simonian of Troy, Kathleen Burke of Watervliet, David Simonian of Guilderland and the late Mary Roden, Helen Teal, Samuel Simonian and Robert Simonian; and grandfather of Molly Puchukas-Simonian, Crash Puchukas-Simonian, Macaiyla Edwards, Jaimz Edwards and Maddox Raymond. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie. Burial will be in Memory's Garden Cemetery in Colonie. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 - 7 p.m. in the funeral home. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the Roessleville Presbyterian Church, 1 North Elmhurst Ave., Albany, NY 12205 would be appreciated.
