Obituary of Louise Prouty

Schenectady - Louise Prouty, 86 passed away on December 7, 2014 after a short illness surrounded by her loving family. Louise was born in Germany and came to the US with her parents Centa and Alois Traegler during the depression. She was predeceased by her husband Theodore, sisters Inge and Erica. She is survived by her brother Alfred (Diana) Traegler, niece Debbie Davis (Matt), nephew Mark (Debbie) Donnelly, cousin and friend Betty Ann Plantz (Peter) and Thomas (Nancy) Traegler, and her beloved bird, Buffy who brought her great comfort. Services will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, 1200 Central Ave., Colonie. Viewing will precede the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Colonie. Special thanks to her niece Debbie Davis, cousin Betty Ann Plantz for all the loving care and special attention they gave Louise. Also, her wonderful, caring church family and Ronnie Vincent, her friend and minister. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 298 St Agnes Hwy Cohoes NY 12047, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, 611 Granite Springs Rd., Yorktown Heights, NY 10598, or a charity of your choice.
