Pleasanton, California - Martin Frederick Hoffmann passed away at home on Saturday, October 20, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. Martin was born April 24, 1943 in Albany, NY, and graduated from Colonie High School. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from RIT. He worked for Xerox for 40 years and retired in 2006. He was awarded a Patent in 2010. He survived a bone marrow transplant in 1982 for Leukemia. He enjoyed football and hockey, spending time with family and he loved to travel. Martin is survived by his mother, Elsie, his son and daughter-in-law, Martin Jr. and Lory of Pleasanton, CA his daughter Jennifer of Union City, CA, and his grandson Jack Henry of San Luis Obispo, CA. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, John and Cindy of Kingston, NY. He was affectionately known as Popi and Senior. He will be missed by all who knew him. Friends and family are invited to a viewing held on Friday, November 2nd from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 3rd at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
