Altamont - Anthony P. Saccone, 89, died Sunday, September 7, 2014 at his home. Born in Susquehanna, PA, Anthony had moved to Albany during his childhood and after his career, to Naples, FL. He had lived in Altamont for the past seven years. Anthony was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during World War II. He was employed for 35 years as an Electrician for H.A. Collman Electric in Albany and was a 65 year member of the IBEW Local # 236. He also was a member of the Tri City Yacht Club and the Naples Golf and Country Club. Anthony was the husband of the late Mary "Jo" Dunn Saccone; father of Robert Saccone (Kathleen) of Drums, PA, Linda Saccone of Altamont and Patricia Saccone of Royal Palm Beach, FL; grandfather of Thomas Saccone, Laura DiNardo, Peter Saccone, Kristen Ringler, Scott Saccone and Tricia Vassello; great-grandfather of Zach, Dominic and Alexander Saccone; and brother of the late Rosemary Cipressey. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Christ Our Light Church, 1 Maria Dr., Loudonville. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands. Anthony's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the nurses and supporting staff of the Community Hospice of Albany for the care provided during his illness.
