Niskayuna - Richard O. Siver, 64, formerly of Voorheesville died Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in Albany, Richard was the son of the late Myrtle Valentine and Thomas Siver. Richard was raised on Veeder Rd. in Guilderland and attended Guilderland Schools. He lived in Voorheesville from 1977 to 2003 and then lived in Living Resources residences in Albany and Niskayuna. He worked for 37 years at the Griffin Laboratory in Guilderland, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed bowling and took many trips with Eleanor Roosevelt Developmental Services and also enjoyed shooting pool. Richard was the brother of Thomas V. Siver (Catherine) of Voorheesville, Kathi Driessen (Rick) of Rotterdam, Nicholas Siver (Marcia) of Guilderland and the late Michael A. Siver. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at a time to be announced at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Guilderland.
