Lisa Freckleton Lorenzo, 58, of Voorheesville NY, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, after a fierce and courageous battle with cancer. 

Born on December 6, 1967, in Niskayuna, New York, Lisa lived a life defined by kindness, laughter, compassion, and an unwavering love for the people and animals around her. She was a devoted daughter, loving sister, proud mother, the absolute best aunt, cherished grandmother, and a loyal friend whose warmth touched countless lives.

Throughout her career as a sales representative, Lisa had the unique gift of turning customers into friends. She never met a stranger, and those fortunate enough to know her quickly discovered her genuine heart, infectious sense of humor, and remarkable ability to make everyone feel seen and valued. She loved her colleagues deeply and formed lifelong bonds with many of them. 

Lisa had a deep love for animals of every kind. During her final months, she found great joy visiting local farms, where feeding cows and goats brought her peace and happiness. She also held a special place in her heart for the ocean. It was her happy place—a destination she longed to return to whenever life allowed. In one final act of love, her family was able to fulfill that wish by taking her on one last beach vacation shortly before her passing, creating treasured memories that will remain with them forever.

Lisa was truly one of a kind—funny, intelligent, genuine, and endlessly caring. She had a rare way of making people laugh, lifting their spirits, and reminding them what truly mattered. To know Lisa was to love her, and her absence leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew her.

In keeping with Lisa’s wishes, there will be no formal service.

Her family asks that those who wish to honor her memory do so by embracing life wholeheartedly. Spend time with the people you love. Be kind to others. Visit the ocean, breathe in the salty air, and appreciate its beauty. Live fully, laugh often, and cherish every moment—that is how Lisa would want to be remembered.

Though she is no longer with us, Lisa’s love, laughter, and beautiful spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
