Obituary of Amy E. Reilly-Veino

Schenectady - Amy Reilly-Veino, 65, of Schenectady, passed away at home after a long illness, on May 5, 2026 with her family at her side.

Born in Albany on April 14, 1961, she was the eldest daughter of Dr. Charles J. and Agnes Reilly.  She graduated from Linton High School in Schenectady and received a Bachelor's degree with high honors from Russell Sage College in Troy,  New York.  Amy took pride in her work as a dental and oral surgery assistant for many years.

Amy loved nature, in particular Botany,  and was an avid gardener.  She shared her passion for nature with her family and many others, leading nature walks in the Albany Pine Bush and elsewhere.  Amy was an animal lover, and was particularly fond of her rescue dogs Buster and Langston.

She was predeceased by her father, Dr. Charles J. Reilly, and by her husband Robert Veino.  She is survived by her mother, Agnes, her son Neal of Henrietta, New York and daughter Elizabeth (Michael Rosenberg) of Peru, New York.  She is also survived by her siblings Mark (Colleen), Ann (Donald Liebers),  Jane, Claire Allen (Richard), Matthew (Patricia) and Christopher (Valerie).  Amy was a favorite aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at the Reilly and Son Funeral Home in Voorheesville,  New York on Monday,  May 11  from 4:00 to 6:00pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mathew's Roman Catholic Church, 25 Mountainview St., Voorheesville on Tuesday, May 12 at 11:00 am.
