Otello Ruoso, 94, died Monday, January 19, 2026 at Shaker Place in Albany. Born in New York City, Otello was the son of Paolo and Luigia Ruoso. Otello lived in Huntington Station, NY for 40 years before moving to Albany in 2005. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict (1951-1953). Otello worked as a mosaic and terrazzo mason prior to his retirement.


He was known for his love and singing along with Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack.


Otello was predeceased by his wife, Marie Ruoso. He is survived by his sons, Paul Ruoso (Lucia) of East Rockaway and Otello Ruoso, Jr. (Yiselle) of Voorheesville; grandson Joseph; and step great-grandson, Carter.


Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. For those who wish, memorial donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
