I met Charley in 1992. He was always the gentleman, listened and gave honest feedback. He represented his district, family and his faith with great honor. He will be missed. God bless all his family, friends and community. Mike Conners

Charley was an amazing individual. Although he was involved in politics he wasn’t a politician he was a neighborhood friend. I feel blessed to have know him. My condolences to Scott and the rest of the Houghtaling family. Well done Charles. Rest in peace with your sweet wife.

My condolences goes out to Charley’s entire family. Charley was an amazing man and taught me so much. Hiring me to work at the store, teaching me different skills in carpentry when building the addition to the store, to showing me the importance of community. Charley was and will always be a key player in the man I turned out to be and I am forever grateful to know him. Rest in pease Charley and give Ann a hug from us all.
