Colonie - Henry G. Zimmer, Jr., 82, died Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at his home.  Born in Albany, Henry was a lifelong resident of Colonie.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1960 to 1963.  Henry was employed for many years as a Longshoreman at the Port of Albany before his retirement in 1997.   Hank also worked at the South Colonie School District.  He always enjoyed his daily trips to Dunkin’ Donuts with his friends and also his trips to Las Vegas.

Henry was the son of the late Henry G., Zimmer, Sr. and Alma Castle Zimmer.  He is survived by his wife, Gloria Matteo Zimmer; daughter, Jennifer Kasparian (John); granddaughters, Liana and Natalya Kasparian; and his good friends, Mark and Ann Winnicki.

Funeral services will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.  A special thank you is extended to his niece, Natasha Ruiz, who guided her Uncle Hank through his whole journey.  For those who wish, donations in Henry’s memory to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 would be appreciated.
